"Make your Beautiful Freesia out of Gum Paste

Freesia comes in the springtime and captures with its light, alluring fragrance and shades of red, yellow, white and more. During this demo session, students will be able to see how this beautiful and delicate flower could be recreated out of sugar. Students will also witness: - how to create freesia buds - how to create different freesia blooms - how to assemble them together and create beautiful freesia flower - how to bring the flower to life by adding colours - tips on how to use gum paste - how to create more details on the flower

"Hand Piped Bean Paste Realistic Rose"

From this demo class you will learn about: · making bean paste from white kidney beans · characteristic of bean paste vs. buttercream · how to modify your piping tips for the realistic rose · technique, steps and demonstration on realistic rose piping · introduction to ready-to-use bean paste and bean paste powder

"The World of Interactive Cakes"

Interactive cakes are the next big thing in the cake industry! In this lesson, students will learn easy ways to take their cakes to the next level and wow their customers by creating jaw-dropping interactive cakes. Join us for an hour of fun while you learn numerous ways to make your cakes interactive as well as where to purchase the materials to create a cake no one will forget! Skill Level : Beginner to Advanced

Learn how to create these fun and adorable safari animals to wow your guests at your upcoming event. This interactive demo will show you how you can easily recreate these edible figures to adorn your cake and cupcakes.

"Modern Cake Design:  3 Textures and Techniques"

Have you ever had trouble getting your decorations on your cake to look how you want and wondered how some decorators are able to achieve awesome textures and clean results on theirs? Learn some great tips from Violet Lin Tran, renowned for her clean innovative designs and interesting textures, plus watch as she demonstrates three of her most sought after signature techniques. You will be able to achieve cleaner details after she shares some of her tricks so you can add a modern flair to your designs.


3:45pm-4:45pm

Instructor:  Kangmin Wu

"Celestial Molded Chocolate Bonbons" 

In this class, Kangmin will demonstrate various ways to colour chocolate bonbon shells to celestial patterns by using techniques such as airbrush, hand painting and flicking. Chocolate tempering will also be presented during the class. Kangmin will also demonstrate filling of the bonbons in two layers -- mango compote and jasmine ganache.
