In 2025, Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show (CBSS) invites all Cake and Cookie Decorators to participate in our 4 competitions. This year our panel of judges will scrutinize your cake and cookie decorating skills, and give each participant written feedback.

Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show proudly announces their 2025 competition themes.

The “Theme Cake Competition”.  This year’s theme is “Halloween”. What says “Halloween” to you? Is it fun and cute, or is it creepy?  Demonstrate your creativity with your theme cake submission.

This years “Cookie Competition” theme is “Flavour”.  What are your favourite foods?  Are you in to comfort foods (would you like a side of fries with that?), or do you love gourmet?  Whatever your tastes, we can’t wait to see what you create.

For the “Wedding Cake Competition” we have left the theme completely open.  However, you will be required to use purple, teal, or both colours in your design.  An announcement that explains why will be coming soon…and it’s exciting news!!
